For the Love Yourself Campaign.
I was pleased with the lighting in this shot. The buttons say "Beauty Comes In All Sizes," "Love is Radical," and "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." Today, March 10, is the last day of International Women's Week (which, contrary to the title, is celebrated in Canada). About the project: "The media has been setting this unrealistic standard of how women "should" look and it is sickening and it needs to STOP. Airbrushing and photoshop does wonders. People are shallow, but this should in no way prevent you from living your life and being happy with yourself. We all have something about ourselves that we don't like, this photo is saying that whether you are thin, curvy, busty, flat, full of acne, etc...we are all human and we should love ourselves for who we are." |
